Charlie Kirk Suspect ‘Deeply Indoctrinated’ With Leftism, Says Gov. Cox
The public continues to learn more about Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old arrested on September 12 for allegedly killing Charlie Kirk. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R) said that the suspect’s political views were left leaning. “It’s very clear to us and to the investigators that this was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,” Cox said. The governor’s comments come after he confirmed to reporters that a Robinson family member informed investigators that he “had become more political in recent years.”
Trump Urges NATO Members to Stop Buying Russian Oil
President Trump reiterated his demand for NATO members to stop buying Russian oil. In a Sept. 13 post on Truth Social, Trump revealed that he is “ready” to implement major sanctions on Moscow when NATO countries do the same, including when they no longer purchase crude oil. His social media post comes one day after telling Fox & Friends that his patience with Russian President Vladimir Putin is “running out fast.”
Police Clash with Protesters at ‘Unite the Kingdom’ March
More than 100,000 people attended a march called “Unite the Kingdom” in London, England, organized by activist Tommy Robinson. The event was in support of free speech and in opposition to uncontrolled migration. Police clashed with some participants who punched, kicked, and hurled bottles at officers. At least nine individuals were arrested; officials say more arrests may occur in the coming days. An opposing protest, called the “March Against Fascism,” had approximately 5,000 attendees, according to police estimates.
Zelensky Slams Presence of Russian Drones in Romanian Territory
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky lambasted the Kremlin for placing Russian drones in Romanian territory, days after their detection in Poland. In a statement posted on X, Zelensky called it “an obvious expansion of the war by Russia,” noting that it was not an error. “The Russian military knows exactly where their drones are headed and how long they can operate in the air. Their routes are always calculated. This cannot be a coincidence, a mistake, or the initiative of some lower-level commanders,” Zelensky said on the social media platform. “It is an obvious expansion of the war by Russia – and this is exactly how they act. Small steps at first, and eventually big losses.”

GOP Rep. McCaul to Retire After 11 Terms
Republican Rep. Mike McCaul (R-TX), a foreign policy hawk, on Sunday announced he will not seek re-election in 2026. McCaul, 63, has held his seat since 2005, serving as chairman of the powerful House Foreign Affairs Committee from 2023-25. He has been a vocal advocate of NATO and increased US aid to Ukraine.
WH Stresses Need to Fire Fed Gov Cook in Court Filing
The Trump administration on Sunday filed a legal brief with the District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals explaining why it believes Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook must be terminated. The brief asserted President Donald Trump has a right to fire Cook “with cause” and dismissed her claims to a right of due process as “meritless” in the face of that authority.

Reports: Charlie Kirk Shooting Suspect Confessed Online
Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old Utahan accused of murdering conservative activist Charlie Kirk, told friends online that was indeed the shooter, multiple news outlets report.
“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all,” a message from an account allegedly belonging to Robinson reportedly read one day after the Sept. 10 slaying. “It was me at [Utah Valley University] yesterday. I’m sorry for all of this.” FBI Director Kash Patel on Monday said Robinson referenced “hatred” while planning the murder. “The evidence and information will come out, I won’t stylize the evidence… but I will say what was found in terms of information [was] a text message exchange where he, the suspect, specifically stated that he had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and he was going to do that.”
