Joe Biden Chooses Delaware for Site of Presidential Library
Former President Joe Biden has chosen his home state of Delaware for the site of his presidential library, according to the Associated Press. The newswire reported that the Joe and Jill Foundation has approved the library’s governing board, which will include 13 members, including former Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The cost to build the presidential library is expected to be higher as these endeavors have ballooned in recent years. For example, former President Barack Obama’s library cost $800 million, compared to the Clinton library price tag of approximately $165 million.
Postal Traffic to US Dropped 80% After Tariff Exemption Ended
Since President Donald Trump ended a tariff exemption for low-cost imports, also known as de minimis, postal traffic into the United States has tanked more than 80%, according to the United Nations postal agency. The Universal Postal Union (UPU), based in Bern, Switzerland, announced on Sept. 6 that it has launched various measures for postal operators worldwide to navigate US duties. But officials say postal organizations were not given sufficient time to adapt to changing procedures.
Zelensky Rejects Putin’s Invitation to Moscow
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky turned down Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invitation for a summit in Moscow. In an interview with ABC News, Zelensky said Putin can instead come to Kyiv. “He can come to Kyiv. I can’t go to Moscow when my country’s under missiles, under attack, each day,” Zelensky told the news network. “I can’t go to the capital of this terrorist.”
State of Emergency Declared in Hawaii Amid Category 4 Hurricane
Hawaii declared a state of emergency on September 6 as a Category 4 hurricane approaches the islands. According to the National Weather Service, Hurricane Kiko’s center was 1,205 miles east-southeast of Honolulu with winds of 130 mph. Officials say it will reach Maui by September 7 and peak in the eastern region of the Hawaiian Islands by Monday.

Trump to S. Korea on ICE Hyundai Plant Raid: Come Here Legally
President Donald Trump on Sunday had a message for South Korea as the nation made plans to repatriate more than 300 illegal alien workers rounded up at a Hyundai battery plant in Georgia that was raided by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. “Your investments are welcome, and we encourage you to legally bring your very smart people, with great technical talent, to build world class products, and we will make it quickly and legally possible for you to do so,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “What we ask in return is that you hire and train American workers. Together, we will all work hard to make our nation not only productive, but closer in unity than ever before.”

Massachusetts Democrat Gov. Maura Healey on Sunday slammed the Trump administration as US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents conducted a crackdown in Boston over the weekend.
Russia Launches Biggest Air Attack of War on Ukraine
Is peace in Eastern Europe slipping further away? “Russia launched its largest air attack of the war on Ukraine overnight, setting the main government building on fire in central Kyiv and killing at least four people, including an infant, Ukrainian officials said on Sunday,” Reuters reports. Russian drones and missiles are said to have struck multiple locations throughout Ukraine, including the highly populated cities of Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih and Odesa.
“Such killings now, when real diplomacy could have already begun long ago, are a deliberate crime and a prolongation of the war,” Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote in an X post. US officials also appeared to be dismayed by the air offensive. “The attack was not a signal that Russia wants to diplomatically end this war,” US Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg wrote on X.

House Votes to Repeal Iraq War Authorizations
