Kremlin Killed Russian Opposition Leader Using Dart Frog Toxin: European Nations
A group of European countries claimed that Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was killed by the Kremlin using a poison developed from a dart frog toxin. In a joint statement released during the Munich Security Conference, UK and European leaders alleged that Moscow possessed the “means, motive, and opportunity” to kill Navalny at a Siberian penal colony. “Only the Russian state had the means, motive and opportunity to deploy this lethal toxin to target Navalny during his imprisonment in a Russian penal colony in Siberia, and we hold it responsible for his death,” the joint statement said. “Epibatidine can be found naturally in dart frogs in the wild in South America. Dart frogs in captivity do not produce this toxin and it is not found naturally in Russia.”
US Carries Out 10 Attacks Against ISIS Targets in Syria
The US military conducted ten strikes against about 30 ISIS targets in Syria, two months after the terrorist group killed three Americans. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on February 14 that the actions were performed between February 3 and February 12. The strikes were complete as part of Operation Hawkeye Strike’s “relentless military pressure Hawkeye.” The announcement comes one day after the US military confirmed it had transferred thousands of low-level ISIS prisoners from Iraq to Syria.
Winter Olympics Faces Second Curling Controversy
Controversy has come to curling at the Winter Olympics. Canada’s Rachel Homan violated the rules after officials said she had double-touched the rock. Hot mics picked up Homan denying she had anything wrong, telling her coach, “I’ve never done it in my life.” Still, officials removed her first stone while facing Switzerland on February 14.

A black glove found near the Arizona home of Nancy Guthrie, mother of NBC Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie, “appears to match” the gloves worn by a suspect captured in a doorbell camera video outside the residence and contains DNA material that will undergo testing, the FBI revealed Sunday.
