Trump Says Peace Deal to Be Signed Today – Iran Says Maybe

President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the framework for the new peace deal between the US and Iran will be signed electronically on Sunday, June 14. “The deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow,” he wrote on Truth Social. “Our relationship with Iran is a much different and better one than previous administrations have had.” Multiple Iranian officials have publicly said much the same – except for the schedule. Sunday remains a possibility, but Iranian news agency Fars reports that an official decision in Tehran has yet to be made.

Suspects Arrested After Crashing Camp Pendleton Gate With 112 Lbs of Cocaine and Fentanyl

Two as-yet unidentified suspects crashed into the gate at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in California while fleeing local law enforcement on Saturday, June 13, and fled on foot into base housing. The breach prompted a temporary shelter-in-place order as authorities worked to secure the installation, according to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).

Mayor Muriel Bowser Reinstates Youth Curfew in DC

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, a Democrat, reinstated a curfew for minors this weekend. “Effective tonight, all youths under 18 are subject to an 11PM curfew – and designated zones will be subject to an 8PM curfew as determined by the Chief of Police,” Bowser posted on X. The order also prohibits groups of more than nine individuals under the age of 18 from gathering in curfew zones unless they’re participating in certain “exempted activities” or accompanied by adults.

NYC Erupts as Knicks Championship Celebrations Turn Violent – 1 Teen Shot

For the first time in more than 50 years, the Knicks won an NBA championship, and New Yorkers were understandably excited. But the celebration in New York City turned dark and violent as gunfire in Times Square left one teen hospitalized, according to the NYPD. Police said the 17-year-old male was shot once in the left foot and was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. Meanwhile, three “persons of interest” were taken into custody and a firearm was recovered at the scene.

Trump Signs US-Iran MOU in France

President Donald Trump signed a copy of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Wednesday night at the Palace of Versailles in France. The 14-point agreement is essentially a 60-day ceasefire agreement to allow for more comprehensive and permanent peace talks with Iran. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also signed the document in Tehran. Vice President JD Vance is expected to sign it on Friday at a ceremony in Geneva.
