US Military Disables Ship Trying to Breach Iran Blockade
The US military disabled a vessel attempting to circumvent the US naval blockade at the Strait of Hormuz, the Central Command (CENTCOM) said on May 30. The ship had carried a Gambian flag and refused to heed various warnings in the area. To date, the United States has disabled five commercial vessels and redirected 116 ships throughout the blockade.

US Says It Struck Iran Drone, Radar Sites
US Central Command on Sunday said it “conducted self-defense strikes on Iranian radar and command and control sites for drones in Goruk, Iran and Qeshm Island this weekend,” an X post read. “The measured and deliberate strikes occurred on Saturday and Sunday in response to aggressive Iranian actions that included the shootdown of a US MQ-1 drone that was operating over international waters,” CENTCOM wrote. “US fighter aircraft swiftly responded by eliminating Iranian air defenses, a ground control station, and two one-way attack drones that posed clear threats to ships transiting regional waters.”

Self-proclaimed democratic socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is under fire yet again. “Taxpayers are on the hook for $5.2 million to pay the swollen salaries of the information ministers in Mamdani’s new City Hall propaganda bureau – a staggering 175% more than first thought,” The New York Post reports.

Iran Suspends Talks With US; Trump Later Says They Are Back On
Iran on Monday suspended peace negotiations with the US after Israel expanded a military operation in Lebanon. “The Iranian negotiating team will suspend ‘talks and the exchange of texts through mediators,’” the semiofficial news agency Tasnim reported.
WH Backs Off on Anti-Weaponization Fund After Court Ruling
The Trump administration on Monday signaled that it is backing away from attempts to create a $1.8 billion federal fund to compensate citizens harmed by the weaponization of government for political means. A federal judge on Friday had issued a temporary order blocking the fund.
Court Rules Transgender Military Ban Is Likely Unconstitutional
A divided federal appeals court “ruled Monday that the Trump administration’s policy banning transgender individuals from serving in the military is likely unconstitutional,” CBS News reports.
Judge: National Park Service Can’t Ban Protest Over 86 47 Flag
A federal judge on Monday “temporarily blocked the National Park Service (NPS) from revoking a permit for a 24/7 anti-Trump protest in the nation’s capital over the display of an ‘86 47’ flag,” The Hill reports. “The Secret Service regards the statement as a potential call for violence against President Donald Trump, and court documents show federal officers ordered the flag be taken down last week after a shooting outside the White House. The protest is taking place roughly one mile away on NPS land,” the news site details. “‘The government seeks to squelch core political speech without any articulable – much less evidentiary – basis for concluding that the speech actually threatens the life or safety of the President,’ US District Judge Randolph Moss wrote in his 21-page opinion.”
Major Russian Drone, Missile Attacks Strike Kyiv
Russian drones and missiles “pounded the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and other cities early on Tuesday,” Reuters reports. “At least 11 people were killed and more than 100 wounded in the assault which also hit Dnipro and Kharkiv, authorities said.”

Rubio said there is no offer for sanctions relief in return for Iran reopening the vital Strait of Hormuz sea passage to commercial traffic.
Blanche: DOJ ‘Not Moving Forward’ With Anti-Weaponization Fund
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche on Tuesday confirmed to House members at a congressional hearing that the Justice Department will not proceed with plans to create a $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization fund” to pay citizens unfairly targeted by the federal government even after a temporary court order expires.

House Issues War-Powers Rebuke to Trump on Iran War
In a largely symbolic move, the House voted on Wednesday to limit President Donald Trump’s war powers on Iran. The measure passed by a 2015-208 vote, with four Republicans joining all Democrats in voting yes. Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Thomas Massie (R-KY), Tom Barrett (R-MI), and Warren Davidson (R-OH) were the GOP quartet to cross the aisle.

The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division announced on Wednesday that it has “launched an investigation into diversity, equity, and inclusion practices at Arizona State University (ASU). Recent viral videos indicating ASU denied equal treatment to students based on race, color, or national origin – while attempting to hide its discriminatory practices from federal scrutiny – prompted the investigation,” a DOJ statement read.
