Car Loaded with Explosives Hits Portland Club

“A driver is dead after allegedly deliberately crashing a car loaded with improvised explosive devices into a historic social club in Portland, Oregon,” Fox reported. During a news conference Saturday afternoon, Portland officials said that employees of the Multnomah Athletic Club saw a vehicle driving slowly toward the club around 2:50 a.m., local time, before it plunged through a window and burst into flames. The driver was killed, and law enforcement determined that multiple incendiary and improvised devices were in the vehicle, along with propane tanks.

Trump Reviewing a New Iranian Proposal to End the War

On Saturday, President Donald Trump told the press he was reviewing a new proposal from Iran to stop the war. “I’ll let you know about it later,” he said before boarding Air Force One. “They’re going to give me the exact wording now.” Shortly after telling reporters about the new proposal, Trump took to social media to explain his skepticism, adding that he “can’t imagine that it would be acceptable in that they have not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to Humanity, and the World, over the last 47 years.”

Trump Threatens to Withdraw Even More Troops From Germany

President Trump said on Saturday that he might pull even more troops out of Germany. This comes just a day after his announcement that he had ordered the Pentagon to withdraw about 5,000 service members from the country.

Trump: US Will ‘Guide’ Ships Through Strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump on Sunday announced “Project Freedom,” an operation in which the US will “guide” ships of “neutral and innocent bystanders” through the vital Strait of Hormuz as the war with Iran continues. “Countries from all over the world, almost all of which are not involved in the Middle Eastern dispute going on so visibly, and violently, for all to see, have asked the United States if we could help free up their ships, which are locked up in the Strait of Hormuz, on something which they have absolutely nothing to do with – they are merely neutral and innocent bystanders,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “For the good of Iran, the Middle East, and the United States, we have told these countries that we will guide their ships safely out of these restricted waterways, so that they can freely and ably get on with their business.”
