Trump Honors Fallen US Soldiers Killed in Iranian Conflict
President Donald Trump honored six US service members killed by an Iranian retaliatory strike in Kuwait. The president attended a dignified transfer event at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, traveling from the Shield of the Americas summit in Doral, Florida. Trump was joined by First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President Vance, and Second Lady Usha Vance. Several members of his administration, as well as senators and governors, attended the event.
Iran Apologizes for Attacking Regional Countries
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued an apology for attacks on neighboring Gulf Arab states since the war began. Pezeshkian also rejected President Trump’s continued demands for surrender. “I should apologize to the neighboring countries that were attacked by Iran, on my own behalf,” the Pezeshkian said in a statement. “From now on, they should not attack neighbouring countries or fire missiles at them, unless we are attacked by those countries. I think we should solve this through diplomacy.”
US Backs Azerbaijan After Being Struck by Iranian Drones
The US State Department slammed Iran for its “unprovoked” drone attack in Azerbaijan. Tehran targeted a terminal building at Nakhchivan International Airport and a site near a school in the village of Shekarabad. The foreign ministry says at least two people were killed and several others were wounded. Iran denied responsibility for the strike.
Trump Vows to Use Military Force Against Latin American Cartels
President Trump signed a proclamation on March 7, vowing to use military force against drug cartels across Latin America. At the inaugural Shield of the Americas Summit in Florida, the president and 17 regional countries joined an effort to enhance hemispheric security and reduce Chinese influence.

Trump Warns Iran Against Closing Strait of Hormuz
President Donald Trump on Monday used apocalyptic language to warn Iran that it will face much harsher US military strikes if it closes the vital Strait of Hormuz to oil tankers. “If Iran does anything that stops the flow of oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America twenty times harder than they have been hit thus far,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a nation, again, death, fire, and fury will reign upon them. But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen. This is a gift from the United States of America to China, and all of those nations that heavily use the Hormuz Strait. Hopefully, it is a gesture that will be greatly appreciated.”

President Donald Trump on Tuesday hailed the opening of a new oil refinery in Brownsville, Texas, declaring it to be a major step toward assuring US energy independence. ‘Massive Win’: “America is returning to real energy dominance,” Trump wrote in a lengthy Truth Social post. “Today I am proud to announce that America First Refining is opening the first new US oil refinery in 50 years in Brownsville, Texas. This is a historic $300 billion deal – the biggest in US history, a massive win for American workers, energy, and the great people of south Texas. Thank you to our partners in India, and their largest privately held energy company, Reliance, for this tremendous investment. Pentagon Says First Week of Iran War Cost More Than $11.3 Billion
War Department officials “told senators in a closed-door briefing Tuesday that they estimate the first six days of the war in Iran cost more than $11.3 billion, according to three sources familiar with the briefing,” NBC News reports.
US Will Release 172 Million Barrels of Oil From Strategic Reserve
President Donald Trump on Wednesday ordered the release of 172 million barrels of oil from the nation’s strategic reserve to help ease skyrocketing prices triggered by the conflict with Iran. “For 47 years, Iran and its terrorist proxies have been intent on killing Americans. They have manipulated and threatened the energy security of America and its allies. Under President Trump, those days are coming to an end,” Energy Secretary Chris Wright said in a statement. “Rest assured, America’s energy security is as strong as ever.”
Officials Downplay Reports of Iran Intending to Attack California
It’s not an imminent threat. On Wednesday, ABC News reported that Iran “aspired” to bombard California with a massive drone attack. Later in the day, officials moved to calm the waters.
