The 2020 election will take place in November. Two people will compete to become the next U.S. president. Right now, those two people are thought to be Donald Trump and Joe Biden. They have different ideas for what America should do next – so, what do they each want?

Trump, a Republican, is calling for the economy to get better after the pandemic. He wants to add more jobs and money for Americans. He has attacked Democrat leadership in inner cities. Trump called some Democrat mayors “very weak” during recent protests and violence.

Biden, a Democrat, claims Trump caused hate against black Americans. He also criticized Trump’s actions during the COVID-19 pandemic, saying the president should be stricter on social distancing.

President Trump and Joe Biden share concerns about some issues. They are both worried about technology and social media, but they have different ideas on how to solve the problem. President Trump thinks there needs to be more free speech online so that people can express their thoughts freely. On the other hand, Biden says the real problem is hateful messages on the internet. He thinks there should be more laws to stop people from saying mean things online.

Trump and Biden disagree on many things – who will the voters choose to lead them for the next four years?
